Special Olympics founder Mary Davis has today secured enough nominations to allow her to contest the presidential election in October

A few questions to Mary Davis... Mary Davis (as the Yes to Lisbon campaigner) can you give specific examples of Lisbon T. that since benefited Ireland? Are you still maintaining the position that Lisbon is about solidarity between EU countries (Just to help you - think of Greece vs. German Banks, Ireland vs. EU....) Do you still think Lisbon was good for jobs (about 480000 of them). Do you still believe there will be more funding for sports? If your position on these has changed (given the objective circumstances), would you agree that your judgement was wrong? If so, would it be fair to think that you may not be in a strong position to represent/defend Ireland? Just wondering...

And also, given the Special Olympics, to which I gave almost a month of my volunteering time, what would be your views on SNA cuts? Do you think you should raise your anger against this in your presidential campaign?....No further questions

About the stock markets... Every day they go up a little bit then they go down. They go up a little bit again and then they go down... Different day same shit. Up and down and up and down. Do you realize this means in practical terms nothing to many of us who only deal with whatever real money we have in our pockets and have to buy bread and milk with that. (And may be a pint sometime)

Westlife star Nicky Byrne (son-in-law) said: "Bertie Ahern is upset with how his 60th birthday celebrations were portrayed" He continued: "Ireland is in a bad situation at the moment. Is that all Bertie's fault?" HIMMM YEP!... "And the world -- that's all Bertie Ahern's fault too?" YEP BERTIES!... "It is what it is but it's hard for me to watch. But you have to move on," WELL IT IS HARD FOR ME TO WATCH YOU BUT YOU DON'T MOVE ON.... WHY SHOULD I!
And of course the news piece continued with this insignificant paragraph: "Mr Ahern is at the centre of controversy after it was revealed he had claimed €270,000 in expenses since leaving office, more than any other Taoiseach."

From Labour Party Website - Core Principles: Community
Socialism realises that men and women by necessity and by choice live in co-operation with each other. In the community or the workplace, the trade union or the social club there is a common sense of belonging and of purpose. The spirit of Community places Labour on the side of the oppressed, not only in Ireland but also in all countries of the world and in particular in the Third World. ON THE SIDE OF OPPRESSED... LET ME THINK... more than 400000 Unemployed + Special Needs children + Families who cant pay their mortgages + Bills + Citizens dying in chairs in A&E+ OK I stop here....

Weather is still not any better...
